Annotation

Description
The ORF7a of SARS-CoV-2 encodes an accessory protein of unknown function that localizes to the golgi of infected cells due to targeting sequences within its tail and transmembrane region. Seven sequence differences fall within the Ig-like ectodomain of SARS-CoV-2 when compared to SARS-CoV. This structure reveals that all seven amino acid variations cluster in a line along the ORF7a protein surface.
